The subject of this evocative short film, and deep in its meaning, is the Milanese district of Melchiorre Gioia, which has become the zone of skyscrapers and more, certainly very different today than a few years ago. A new skyscraper stands out among massive mirrored buildings and vertical woods, symbols of Milan’s new skyline. Images and music combine to tell the story of an extreme and spectacular protest in which the protagonist is Carlo, a 30-year-old man who climbs up on a crane, scaling and bravely challenging the concrete and glass giants of world finance. His act of civil disobedience at a height of 150 metres forces passers-by to look up for a few hours and reflect on the meaning of the phrase that can be read in the blue sky: “Stay human.”
